RemovalCompanies.Reviews is operated by MicroBOS Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17406936), registered office 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA. MicroBOS Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and is the data controller for personal data processed through this platform.
1. What Data We Collect and From Where
Data compiled from public sources
Company listings on this platform may include business information compiled from publicly available sources including the Google Places API. This may include business name, address, phone number, website, and Google rating. This data is used solely for the purpose of creating a business directory.
Data submitted by business owners
When a company claims their listing or registers a portal account, we collect:
- Business name and trading name
- Contact name
- Email address and phone number
- Business address and service area
- Insurance and accreditation documents submitted for verification
Data submitted by customers
When a customer submits a quote request, we collect:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Move details including addresses, property types, and preferred dates
- Preferred contact method
- Any additional information provided in the enquiry form
Technical data
We collect standard technical data including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited via cookies and analytics tools. See Section 7 for more information on cookies.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Display business listings in our directory
- Route customer quote requests to eligible removal companies
- Allow business owners to manage their portal accounts
- Send transactional emails related to account activity and enquiries
- Comply with our legal obligations under UK GDPR
- Improve the platform and monitor for misuse
We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not use personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
Calling removal companies. We hold the business contact details of removal companies in the UK, taken from public sources such as their own websites, Google Business listings and Companies House, so that we can list them in our directory and invite them to manage their listing. We may telephone a company about its listing. Before we call a number we have not been given directly, we check it against the Telephone Preference Service and the Corporate Telephone Preference Service, and we do not call numbers registered on either. We keep a record of each call we make (the number, the date and time, and the outcome) so that we can honour requests not to be called again. If you tell us not to call, we will not. Our calls are not recorded. We are MicroBOS Ltd, registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. To ask what we hold about your business, correct it, or have it removed, email admin@removalcompanies.reviews or use our data removal form.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests — for compiling directory listings from publicly available sources and operating the platform
- Contract — for processing data related to portal accounts and customer enquiries

We use cookies to operate the platform and understand how it is used. Cookies we use include:

Business data compiled from the Google Places API is used in accordance with Google’s Terms of Service for the purpose of building a directory. Companies can update or remove their listing at any time by claiming their profile or submitting a removal request at portal.removalcompanies.reviews/data-removal.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. The date at the top of this page will always reflect when the policy was last updated.
